On January 21, 2025, the Steering Committee of the ERASMUS+ project NEEDEDU4.0 – Enhancing Mechanical Engineering Education in Moldova for Industry 4.0 convened virtually to reflect on the achievements of the first year and to coordinate upcoming activities for 2025. The meeting brought together representatives from all partner institutions, underlining the project’s ongoing commitment to transparency, quality, and collaborative progress.
Hosted by the Technical University of Moldova (UTM), the session provided an essential forum for evaluating implementation efforts across key work packages and aligning institutional contributions with the broader strategic vision of Education 4.0.
The meeting began with a welcome address by Prof. Larisa Bugaian, project coordinator from UTM, who set the tone for a results-oriented dialogue. The agenda included presentations and discussions on the status of the project’s major components.
The Steering Committee meeting highlighted the strong coordination between partners and the shared responsibility in achieving the project’s long-term objectives. It reaffirmed the dedication to building a future-ready master’s programme rooted in quality, relevance, and sustainability. As emphasized during the session, timely communication, coordinated decision-making, and mutual support remain the cornerstones of successful implementation.
With the second year of the project now underway, the consortium is firmly focused on consolidating its academic offerings, advancing digital readiness, and fostering structural transformation within engineering education in Moldova.
