On June 2, 2025, the third Monitoring Quality Assurance (MQA) virtual meeting within the ERASMUS+ project NEEDEDU4.0 – Enhancing Mechanical Engineering Education in Moldova for Industry 4.0 – was held via MS Teams. Organized by WP4 leader UNITBV, the event convened the Advisory Group (AG), Quality Assurance Board (QAB), and project management representatives to assess ongoing progress, review quality indicators, and support continuous improvement in project outcomes.
The meeting served as a vital checkpoint for reviewing key deliverables due in Q1–Q2 of Year 2, ensuring alignment with both the project’s strategic vision and the standards of national and European higher education frameworks.
According to the implementation timeline, the following core activities were evaluated:
-
Design of curricula for each training module (2.2)
-
Development of a handbook and PowerPoint-based training content for the NIMP program (2.3)
-
Preparation of the accreditation report for ANACEC (2.7)
-
Accreditation process for the NIMP master’s program (2.8)
-
Career guidance initiatives aimed at prospective students (3.1)
-
Content finalization and integration on the joint Moodle platform for Moldovan universities (3.2)
-
Organization of the student admission process to NIMP at partner universities (3.3)
One of the meeting’s highlights was the presentation of the second external evaluation report by Dr. Alice Buzdugan. Her insights validated the methodological integrity of the activities while also offering constructive feedback for enhancement.
Discussions also reflected input from AG members, who stressed the importance of maintaining both content quality and strategic coherence, particularly as the project transitions from design and development into implementation and dissemination.
The management’s voice emphasized the need for timely deliverables, collaborative adaptation to feedback, and unified efforts across institutions to ensure that the master’s program meets both national accreditation standards and the dynamic needs of Industry 4.0.
The event reaffirmed all stakeholders’ commitment to academic excellence, transparency, and innovation in engineering education. The coordinated efforts of the Moldovan and European partners continue to shape a modern, industry-aligned learning ecosystem that prepares graduates for leadership in smart manufacturing and digital transformation.
