Monitoring Progress and Ensuring Excellence: Highlights from the 1st NEEDEDU4.0 Quality Assurance Meeting

On May 16, 2024, the first Monitoring Quality Assurance (MQA) virtual meeting of the NEEDEDU4.0 project was successfully held, bringing together members of the Quality Assurance Board (QAB) and Advisory Group (AG). The session was facilitated by the WP4 leader – UNITBV, and aimed to assess the project’s progress and evaluate the quality of its initial activities and deliverables.

The primary objective of the meeting was to monitor the implementation quality of the project’s foundational activities and to provide expert feedback on the deliverables produced during the early phase of the project.

Prof. Larisa Bugaian, project coordinator (UTM), opened the meeting by presenting an overview of the project goals, structure, timeline, and expected deliverables. The agenda further focused on evaluating milestones completed as part of Work Package 1 (Preparation) and assessing the internal structures supporting the project’s growth.

The Advisory Group and Quality Assurance Board concluded that the project had been progressing in line with its work plan. The presentations were met with positive feedback, emphasizing the high quality of outputs and the commitment of the partner institutions.

The External Evaluator, Ms. Alice Buzdugan, also acknowledged the soundness of the project’s quality assurance mechanisms and endorsed the collaborative effort of the consortium.

This first monitoring session demonstrated a strong alignment among partners toward quality, transparency, and impact—hallmarks of the NEEDEDU4.0 project’s commitment to transforming mechanical engineering education in Moldova for the Industry 4.0 era.
